Surprise – the rest of Christmas. If you haven’t finished your gift shopping yet, your options are running out. Even your Amazon Prime subscription can’t help you now. Believe me I flipped through the Amazon pages to see if the gift ideas would come before Christmas. They all went missing a few days ago. (BTW – Anyone but me have noticed that two days of Amazon Prime shipping is no longer a thing ?!)
At this point, you must go to a store to finish your gift shopping. You can do it the old way. Drive to your local target, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. and spend hours wandering the isles, looking for the least acceptable gift in the shelves of a few crowded stores.

In my opinion, a more efficient option is to buy online, store (aka BOPIS). Don’t get me wrong – you will still spend a lot of time on available products With the global shipping crisis and everything, it’s the thin picnics out there. But at least you can make your last-minute shopping from the comfort of your own home, with food nearby.
Here is a list of stores where you can BOPIS (yes, I made this short form a verb …). Shopping online and picking up at stores can be your last chance to save face with your gift this year.
Buy online pickups on the same day at these 9 retailers
1. Walmart
Buy Walmart last minute for beauty gift sets, clothing, and accessories.
Check out the Walmart.com or Walmart app for available pickup time. If you order by 1pm on December 24, Walmart offers express delivery within two hours.
2. Goals
Target books, movies, a modest clothing collection, and small kitchen appliances are still available to buy online, pick up at the store. You can also find beauty-related stocking stuff like nail polish, loofah and body scrub.
You can schedule to place your order in a store from Target.com. For carbside delivery, use the Target app.
3. Bed, bath and outside
Bed, Bath & Beyond store is offering 20% discount on your entire purchase with pickup. Even better, your order should be ready for pickup within an hour.
I used BOPIS in Bed, Bath and Beyond last week and it was very easy. When the order was ready they notified me via text message and took my item to the car when I arrived.
4. Walgreens
Order online from Walgreens and you can quickly pick up your products in 30 minutes. You can find some fantastic gifts in Walgreens’ extensive beauty collection – since, you know, no one wants to open the toilet paper.
You can shop for Walgreens online or in the Walgreens app. Once your order is ready you will receive a notification and you can pick it up at the store, drive-through or where carbside is available.
5. DSW
You probably don’t want to buy shoes as gifts, but DSW.com carries some nice accessories. Use the INNOUT code until December 24 to receive a 15% discount on carbide and in-store pickup orders.
DSW prepares most BOPIS orders within two hours or less.
6. Old Navy
OldNavy.com, like DSW, promises to prepare your order within two hours.
You already know that the Old Navy has a huge selection of basic fashion items – sweatshirts, t-shirts, leggings, etc. – that can make fun gifts. Also peek into the gender-neutral selection, pajamas and slippers.
7. Kohls
Shop Byrnie for high fashion at low prices.
You can probably find gifts for several friends at Kohls.com. The department store has jewelry, clothing, accessories, beauty products and home decor items.
Your order will be ready in two hours or less. And, you can choose from a non-contact drive-up service or in-store pickup.
8. Sephora
When in doubt, a beauty gift fits the bill for your lifestyle-minded women. Also, you can earn or redeem Sephora loyalty rewards in the process.
Sephora.com fulfills BOPIS orders within four hours. In most locations carbide services as well as in-store pickups are provided.
9. Reverse
Slightly faster than Alta Sefora. Use Ulta.com and your buy-online, pick-up-in-store order should be ready for pick-up within two hours if you order by 6pm. Note that in-store pickups will not be available at Ulta on December 25th.
